Influence of adaptive coupling points on coalition formation in multi-energy systems

Abstract The share and variants of coupling points (CPs) between different energy carrier networks (such as the gas or power grids) are increasing, which results in necessity analysis so-called multi-energy systems (MES). One approach is to consider MES a graph network, modeled edges with efficiency weight. On such local coalitions can be formed using multi-agent leading dynamic partitioning, prerequisite for efficient decentralized system operation. However, not considered static, units representing CPs shut down, network decoupling affecting partitions. This paper aims evaluate effect adaptivity on dynamics an exemplary coalition formation from complex point view case study benchmark extended MES. shows: first, feasibility modeling cyber-physical system; second, how behaves, impact this system, these metrics relate CP node attributes.
